Things to do on Linux

From Linux Advocacy

Tasks you can do and applications that can run on Linux.

Honestly, there appear to be hundreds of thousands of applications that can run on Linux, so this probably deserves its own web site much bigger than this Linux adovcacy one.

See the Wine appdb for a list of Windows programs and how well they run on Linux.

DOS, Commodore, Amiga, Info-zip and ScummVM programs all tend to work well on Linux, with the appropriate software. (Also see this list of emulators for Linux.) (I haven't included hundreds of thousands of Android or BlackBerry 10 apps that will run with their respective simulators.)
