Notes and ideas 4

<greg> i visited wiki this week, there are a lot of stuff, but problem is that it is overwhelming a bit
<greg> iam big fan of one step at a time approach
<greg> small doses of information in easy to absorb way
<greg> if you want to advocate linux for average computer users you have to make them care about linux, create a need to install it
<greg> in clean and easy to understand way so people will not be scared
<greg> wiki is great as place to share knowledge for people who look for knowledge
<greg> question is how to convince someone to use something that they are not familiar with an probably scared
<greg> and made them to use linux even if it is not perfect for home users
<greg> if i would like to convince someone to use linux i would ask first what is important for that person as computer user, and then maybe compare their system to linux

<greg> one step at a time, just like in survey
<greg> well yeah, like this one
<greg> https://www.16personalities.com/
<greg> i did it once and enjoyed it, then i read about my result etc, my point is that they keept me interested
<greg> just imagine such thing advocating for operating system
<greg> and if they are interested enough in results they will go wherever you want them to go Tomg
<greg> i think that asking questions how people like to use their operating systems and what is important for them is the best way to introduce linux

<greg> the next thing in my opinion is really friendly introduction to linux, as easy as it can be, to not scare people off

<greg> and whole point of my idea is to make someone to realise what matters and why chose linux, and be 100% honest about it,
<TomG> ah
